Sinking Whole

One of the highest rated Google-reviewed attractions is a giant punch bowl in the earth with a pool of water at the bottom. There's a dirt trail that takes you to the sinkhole and it's advised to wear long pants (in case of poison oak). Because it is actively eroding the fence around the hole protects visitors from impending dangers. To get there take Hwy 1 and turn on Point Cabrillo Road (towards the ocean). Make your first left on the Unnamed Road and take it all the way down to the parking area. You'll take a short walk to the sinkhole from the parking lot. There are a lot of discrepancies online about hours and prices so keep your visits between sunrise and sunset. Parking fees may apply.
