Believe it or not, this is the second shark head to make an appearance here. The first shark head along with the gift shop the maw opens into were obliterated during Hurricane Katrina. It took some time but seven years after the hurricane the 32-foot shark head and gift shop both made a reappearance. (Photo by Pam Moran)
