Crystal Geyser is unique in that the water eruptions are not heat-related. Instead, a build-up of carbon dioxide forces the water to violently escape from the ground's surface. While you aren't able to predict when the eruptions will occur, the barren landscape has a sparse beauty to it. You'll be able to camp and your kids will be able to play without a stern park ranger breathing down your back.
