Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment

The former textile mill building with its lofty space and large windows is the perfect venue for an art gallery. Lowe Mill opened in 1901 as a cotton mill. It was also part of the war effort during the Vietnam conflict, producing the jungle boots worn by the troops. Today it has 152 working studios for over 200 artists, 7 galleries, a theater, community garden, and performance venues. Along with work featured by local artists, you can find shops, food, and Insta-worthy backdrops! (Submitted by Corrie S.)
