Punchbowl Scenic Lookout

For the best views of Oahu's fertile green island, head to this old crater within the volcano named Pouwaina. The name is historically significant, loosely translated as "Hill of Sacrifice" for which it was used by the native Hawaiians. Later on, it became a memorial and cemetery where thousands of WWII soldiers are buried - and thousands more whose bodies were never found are commemorated.
