Ehukai Pillboxes

The Ehukai Pillboxes trail, situated near Haleiwa, Oahu, Hawaii, offers a moderately challenging 2.3-mile loop with breathtaking wildflowers, diverse terrains, and stunning vistas, including the iconic Banzai Pipeline. Despite a steep and uneven initial ascent, hikers are rewarded with glimpses of historic bunkers, mesmerizing sunsets, and panoramic views. Accessible year-round and dog-friendly, the trail requires around 1 to 2 1/2 hours to complete due to frequent photo opportunities. Suitable for families, including young children, it's advised to wear sturdy shoes and bring water, especially starting from the Sunset Beach Elementary School trailhead.
