This site was inhabited by Native Americans around 1000 to 1450 AD. It is the second largest of its type in the United States. Known as one of the best preserved examples of the Americas before Columbus the 185-acre park attracts vacationing visitors as well as researchers. The grounds are open all year except for major holidays. Hours are from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM although the museum is open from 9 AM to 5 PM. Admission is $8 for most people and free to anyone with a tribal membership card.
