The 1,500-acre Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park contains some of the best-preserved iron furnace sites in the South. You can also see from spring to fall blacksmiths, millers, and other craftsmen demonstrate their trades as they were practiced in the 19th century. Along with massive stone furnaces, there is a cotton gin, pioneer farm, and working gristmill. The park is open all year long from sunrise to sunset with different admission prices. See the website for more details.
