Also called Riddle Mill Covered Bridge this 1850s bridge crossing the Talladega Creek used by Civil War soldiers. After the war it was briefly used by miners. With no maintenance the bridge was finally closed to the public. You can walk the grounds but keep in mind that the bridge and the surrounding property are privately owned. Stay clear of the bridge which has not been renovated.

This bridge is privately owned now so you have to ask permission to see it. Nice folks but they’re frustrated that people don’t respect their privacy.
Second oldest covered bridge in Alabama!
It’s on its last leg so see it while it’s still up!
