Arctic Brotherhood Hall

Apparently the most photographed building in Alaska this hall is where prospectors convened in the late 1890s. The façade was decorated with almost 9,000 pieces of driftwood and is the only example of driftwood architecture in Alaska. The design is called Victorian Rustic and a painstaking facelift was completed in recent years with all the rotting pieces of driftwood replaced.
