Golden North Hotel

While the Gold Rush was a time of prosperity and exhilaration it was also a time of greed, violence, and lawlessness when thievery and murder were rampant in frontier towns. The Golden North Hotel is no exception although the female spirit who roams the halls died supposedly of a broken heart, jilted by her lover. The building no longer serves as a hotel, closing down in 2002. Now it is an office building for various businesses.
