This gem in the middle of the arid landscape is home to a zoo, aquarium, and botanical gardens. There are over two miles of walking paths. The museum focuses on the natural history of the Sonoran Desert. It is one of the most visited places in the area attracting over 400,000 visitors from around the world annually. It is open from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM from October to February and then 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM from March to September. While not prohibitively expensive, the museum will cause a dent in your pocketbook, especially with a large family. In the high season, going rates are about $25 for guests between 13 and 64 years old. (Submitted by Madison Huy)
