Canyon Padre Bridge

This 100-year-old passage which once led Route 66 to Twin Arrows is notable for its unique construction and design. The elegant railing supports and the curved bracings under the bridge show a lot more artistry than what you usually see in modern-day infrastructure. To get there without trespassing on private property, go to the Winona exit several miles to the west off Interstate 40 and double back east on the north frontage road.

April 12, 2024 Picture of the underside of the bridge. Very cool. Highly recommend you either hike or have a four-wheel-drive with high clearance. This is not a road for a standard passenger vehicle.
Windy
It does have missing sections, but they put up metal for safety.
