Colossal Cave

The legend that accompanies Colossal Cave, as told by the tour guide, is that 6 bank robbers robbed the Tucson Bank and hid in the cave where they had a shootout with the sheriff - the money was never found. The cave is known to be a dead cave with no water inside and the temperature is the same as the outside. Areas inside are often cramped and the rock formations (stalagmites and stalactites) have been vandalized over the years. With the paid admission you have the opportunity to visit the nearby ranch which had a mini museum and outside displays.
