Guano Point

Located near Peach Springs is an 0.8-mile loop trail named Guano Point. The course offers scenic views suitable for all skill levels for hiking, walking, and nature trips. Guano Point is one of the most dramatic viewpoints of the Grand Canyon where you can take the "Highpoint Hike" which features stunning, 360-degree views! Visit the remnants of a historic tram that once stretched 8,800 feet across the canyon to a guano mine. The cableway crossed the river with a span of 7,500 feet and a vertical lift of 2,500 feet. Shortly after the cave's resources had been exhausted, a U.S. Air Force fighter jet crashed into the overhead cable system and permanently disabled it. The remaining structures were left intact as a monument.
