Description:
The Reid Park Zoo was was unofficially established in 1965 by Gene Reid who was the parks and recreation director. Now the zoo is a city-owned and operated non-profit zoo. More than 500 animals are featured such as the grizzly bear, giant tortoise, tigers, lions, giraffes, giant anteaters, and elephants. Their aviary, the Flight Connection, hosts dozens of birds from around the world.
