Description:
The Palace Restaurant and Saloon in Prescott opened in 1877 on Whiskey Row and is considered Arizona’s oldest continuously operating bar. After a devastating fire in 1900 burned the original building, loyal patrons famously carried the ornate 1880s bar to safety and the saloon was rebuilt by 1901. Over the years it became a gathering place for frontier legends like Wyatt Earp, Virgil Earp, and Doc Holliday. Today it remains a historic landmark that preserves its Old West charm while serving modern diners.
