The Tombstone Epitaph is a historic newspaper based in Tombstone, Arizona. It was founded in 1880 by John Philip Clum, a former Indian agent and mayor of Tombstone, and his brother, Harry. The paper quickly gained a reputation for its fearless reporting and became known for its coverage of the infamous Gunfight at the O.K. Corral in 1881. The original building that housed The Tombstone Epitaph at 11 S. 5th Street. still stands and is a popular tourist attraction in Tombstone. Visitors can tour the building and learn about the history of the newspaper and the town.
