The Toroweap a.k.a. Tuweep Overlook in the distant northwest corner of the national park on the North Rim is one of the most remote areas in the United States. The journey there requires some determination and preparation. It can be reached only by three lengthy dirt tracks beginning from St. George (Utah), Colorado City, or Pipe Spring National Monument (both in Arizona). Your reward for the trouble taken to get to Toroweap is the complete solitude and stunning views over the inner Colorado gorge.
