Description:
Wrigley Mansion in Phoenix, Arizona, was built between 1929 and 1931 by chewing gum magnate William Wrigley Jr. as a lavish gift to his wife for their 50th wedding anniversary. Perched on a 100 foot knoll in the Biltmore area, the 24 room, 16,000 square foot mansion was richly adorned with tilework imported from the Wrigleys' factory on Catalina Island. After the family sold it in 1973, the mansion changed hands and was nearly demolished in the early 1990s until Geordie Hormel and his wife stepped in to save and restore it. Today, it stands as a celebrated dining and event venue that showcases Phoenix's historic charm.
