Description:
Lassis Inn, founded around 1905 by Joe and Molassis Watson, began as a small sandwich operation before becoming a beloved Little Rock fishhouse known for its fried catfish and signature buffalo fish ribs. The restaurant moved to East 27th Street in 1931 and later became an important meeting place for civil rights leaders during the 1950s and 60s. Its cultural significance and long culinary tradition earned it honors such as induction into the Arkansas Food Hall of Fame and a James Beard America’s Classics award. Today, diners come for its crispy catfish, famous fish ribs, and classic Southern sides that have defined the restaurant for generations.
