M53 Self-Propelled Howitzer

A fearsome tank lives out the rest of its days on a street corner near a National Guard building. Howitzers were manufactured by the Pacific Car and Foundry Company and saw combat in the 1950s and 1960s. The Howitzer, for which it is named, can swivel 30 degrees both left and right. This was an important machine during the Cold War years.
