Ozark Medieval Fortress Ruins

This ambitious project unfortunately was never finished. Begun in 2009 the fortress was to be an exact replica of a 13th-century French castle fashioned after Guedelon Castle in Treigny. Part of the attraction was to have costumed workers there to talk to visitors while the castle was under construction. The building of the fortress was to use as much of 13th-century techniques as possible. Due to setbacks the fortress closed in 2016 but the half-built ruins are still there. Trespass at your own risk; the grounds have not been maintained since its closing.
