Petit Jean State Park

This state park has abundant hiking trails surrounded by gorgeous foliage but a couple of attributes make it unique. One is the rare natural arch that rises 22 feet high and spans 23 feet across. The other is the grave of Petit Jean who - legend has it - died from an illness after sailing from France and arriving in the Louisiana Territory.
