If Disneyland is too overwhelming and too expensive, head to Adventure City. They bill themselves as a "little theme park that's big on fun!" The price tag is little, too - only about $20 per person compared to over $100 per person at the nearby Disneyland. This is a great place for a family on a budget - the food and arcade won't break the bank. Plan to go on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays - the park is closed all other days.
