"The Twilight Zone" fans will love this historical landmark. It was one of the settings for the episode "100 Yards Over the Rime" in which a pioneer unknowingly time travels from the past into the modern era. Today, it looks almost exactly the same - as if it ironically time traveled from the early 1960s to the 2020s. Even the surrounding area is still the same - a sparse, desert atmosphere where you can imagine the 1800s settlers making their way across the Southwest landscape like the characters in "The Twilight Zone," straddling a thin boundary between life and death.
