Battery 127, also known as Fort MacArthur Battery Osgood-Farley, is a historic military installation located in San Pedro, CA. Built during World War II, the battery was designed to defend the Los Angeles Harbor and housed two guns capable of firing heavy projectiles over long distances. Although it never saw combat, Battery 127 played a crucial role in coastal defense. Today, it stands as a preserved historic site managed by the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, offering visitors a chance to explore its remains, appreciate its engineering, and learn about its military significance.
