Battery Townsley

Part of the Golden Gate Recreational Area this fort once was the coastal artillery for the U.S. Army in the early 1900s. The park offers interpretive walks and underground tours. To get to Battery Townsley you'll have to embark on a moderate half-mile hike via the Coastal Trail.
