Description:
This isolated place is a great stop while adventuring out in the El Paso Mountain Wilderness. The property was bought after WWII by Walt Bickel who found a small amount of gold onsite, allowing him to settle here. Preserved by volunteers, this camp chronicles the life of a man who embodied the American tradition of adventure, hard work, and self reliance. As it's private property, enter only if the gates are open.
