Description:
It's almost impossible to get to Bixby Bridge, a picturesque and frequently photographed arched concrete bridge, except by landing a boat here. The steep canyon walls are a treacherous climb down and the land behind the bridge is private property. But if you manage to somehow get to Bixby Beach, there's a sea cave at the south end where you can enter at lower tides. Still, Bixby is one of the most photographed California bridges because of the sandy beach which is at the mouth of Bixby Creek and below the Bixby Bridge. At the bridge's north end there's a pull-out parking area with a great view of the bridge and the beach.
