An open-air museum in Riverside explores the history of agriculture in Southern California, focusing on the orange. As it turns out, the orange is not native to California although the Mediterranean climate and rich soil produce especially sweet citrus fruits. The park includes 300 acres of land, a small museum, and gift shop. It's open every day from 8 to 5; parking is $5. (Submitted by Brenda Rios)
