Carrizo Gorge Railway

----- NOTE: This attraction is on private property (behind a fence) so proceed at your own risk ----- Running from Plaster City, CA to Tijuana, Mexico this freight railway is characterized by its passage over precarious drops through Goat Canyon. Hikers can still traverse the canyon to the Trestle which is one of the highest woodpile trestle bridges in the world, rising 157,000 feet above this deep chasm. Don't hike on the tracks- this is illegal and law enforcement is on the lookout for would-be daredevils. (Photo by Brian M. Good)
