Description:
Cascade Falls, also known as the Cascades, is located in western Yosemite National Park. It starts as a series of cascading waterfalls amid a dense forest and gains momentum, as it combines with Tamarack Creek near the Big Oak Flat Road. This results in a spectacular 500-foot waterfall before its waters eventually feed into the Merced River. You can see the falls from a convenient turnout just off of El Portal Road.
