Description:

The Cathedral Lakes Trailhead provides access to the Cathedral Lakes Trail which is a moderate-to-difficult 8.2-mile round trip hike that leads to the beautiful Cathedral Lakes. The trail begins with a steady uphill climb through dense forest before reaching the open granite slopes of Cathedral Peak. You'll first reach the lower Cathedral Lake which is surrounded by granite cliffs and alpine meadows. The upper Cathedral Lake is a short distance further up the trail and is considered by many to be one of the most scenic spots in Yosemite.
