This 2.6-mile trail loop takes about 2 hours to complete with an elevation of just over 700 feet. Because there is little shade along the way most find winter or spring to be the best times to visit. While the trail is not difficult to complete, the top of the cave is a bit more challenging to reach. This is one of the areas once inhabited by the Chumash people and the cave is said to have been the home of a powerful shaman. (Submitted by Brenda Rios)
