It sounds like a place where one might receive cancer therapy but Chemosphere is actually a residential home. Built in 1960, it was a progressive design to make use of a hillside in the San Fernando Valley. Still a marvel and still ahead of its time, Chemosphere is one of the most photographed private residences in Los Angeles County.
