Description:

This giant sequoia, known as Chimney Tree, burned in 1914. For over a century, the hollow trunk has slowly weathered but remains in remarkably good condition. To find the tree, park in the Crescent Meadow Picnic Area and take the Crescent Meadow Loop Trail.
