Coronado Bridge

Built of concrete and steel, this San Diego bridge gracefully curves over the bay taking travelers to and from Coronado. It was completed in 1978 and drivers were charged tolls for many years after. You'll be happy to know that tolls were discontinued in 2002 and the bridge has been a free thoroughfare ever since. Although the best view of San Diego is from the bridge, the best panoramic view of the bridge is from Tidelands Park on Coronado Island. (Submitted by Michaelangelo Sansano)
