Description:

The Mural Room, a prominent feature of the Courthouse, stands as a testament to Santa Barbara's diverse heritage, rooted in Chumash, Spanish, Mexican, and immigrant cultures. Initially serving as the County Supervisors’ Assembly Room, it has been repurposed for weddings, civic gatherings, and social events. Inside, four captivating murals, crafted by Dan Sayre Groesbeck, adorn the walls, depicting the area's rich history. The intricate ceiling, a masterpiece like others within the Courthouse, was painted by the talented artist John B. Smeraldi.
