Duarte's Tavern

Founded by Frank Duarte in 1894, Duarte's Tavern was initially as a saloon and barbershop. Over time, the tavern expanded its offerings to include food for both locals and weekenders. The Duarte family has always had a passion for food, with Emma Duarte starting the pie-making tradition in the 1930s. In the early 1960s, Ron Duarte, Frank's grandson, and his wife Lynn began experimenting with the now-famous Cream of Artichoke soup. Today, Ron's handwritten book of recipes is still a cherished item in the kitchen.
