Description:

Miners in the 1920s carved out their own homes from the clay embankment. Because housing materials were scarce the miners had to look for other ways to shelter themselves. This mining ghost town has been vacant since the 1970s but is a popular spot for drivers to rest for a few minutes. If you get there before 3:00 PM on weekdays, you can visit the museum directly across the way.
