Named for a giant rock with a shadow resembling the bird of prey with its wings outstretched, this magnificent formation is easily seen from the 134 freeway. To see the sandstone monolith up close, take the N. Figueroa St exit from the 134 and turn left. Make another left on Colorado Blvd., a left on Patrician Way, and one more left on Eagle Rock View Drive. (Submitted by Danielle G)
