In 1985, Ray and Nancy Coursen founded the Elyse brand, starting with 286 cases of Zinfandel from Morisoli Vineyard, which remains a key source for their wines. For ten years, they made their wines at different locations until 1997 when they bought a small winery and vineyard on Hoffman Lane, establishing the permanent home for Elyse Winery and its tasting room. Since then, Elyse has grown to include a range of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petite Sirah wines, known for their authentic fruit flavors and distinctive sense of origin.
