Filoli Historic House & Garden

The Bourn-Roth Estate is about 25 miles south of San Francisco, featuring 16 acres of serene gardens at the southern end of Crystal Springs Reservoir. The grand residence was finished in 1917, designed by architect Willis Polk in the Georgian/Colonial Revival style. 54,256 square feet and 56 splendid rooms were the height of luxurious living - including 17 fireplaces, 16 bathrooms, 10 main bedrooms, and 14 staff bedrooms. The Italian-inspired gardens contain fruit orchards, the Sunken Garden, and the extravagant Wedding Garden. You might recognize the estate and grounds from "Dynasty" and "George of the Jungle."
