Description:
Maybe the owners like to imagine they’ve been swallowed by Jonah’s whale? Actually, the home is not inspired by a whale or a fish, but by a tiny marine animal called a tardigrade. Built in the ‘90s for Florence and William Tsui, the home’s walls are made of recycled styrofoam and cement blocks. The entire structure is supposed to be super safe, impervious to floods, fires, and other catastrophes.
