In 1983, Ric Forman established Forman Vineyard with the aspiration of crafting limited quantities of traditionally styled Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon as the sole proprietor. After an extensive three-year exploration of Napa Valley, Ric acquired the current winery and vineyard site in 1978, situated on a ridge at the foot of Howell Mountain, providing a picturesque view of St. Helena.
