Description:

The Founder's Plaza Statues are a collection of four bronze statues located in Balboa Park in San Diego. The statues were created by artist Alvaro de Bree and were installed in 1939 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the founding of San Diego. The four statues represent the main groups of people who played a role in the early history of San Diego.
