Friendship Park of the Californias

A park crosses the border between the U.S. and Mexico by way of San Diego and Tijuana. It was established in 1971 - a symbol that the two countries, no matter how ambivalent the relationship, are inextricably connected. First Lady Pat Nixon inaugurated the park and since then it's been a site for family gatherings, social events, and even binational yoga classes.
