Description:
Betcha didn't know - Dr. Seuss was the nom de plume of Theodore Seuss Geisel and this library is named in honor of him and his wife, Audrey. The geometric and angular building was designed for UCSD by William Pereira and it opened in 1970. Standing away from the building the observer can see that it was structured to look like a pair of hands holding a stack of books. Don't forget to visit the basement where you'll find Audrey's Cafe but be prepared to race for a seat during finals!
