Description:

George S. Patton was an unlikely patron to this quiet little community. He needed a place to train a million troops to brave the harsh Sahara climate and what better place than this spot in the Inland Empire? Tickets are $10 each for most people but you can wait until Veterans Day when admission is free in honor of those who served in a U.S. conflict. The museum, which features a 5-ton desert training map and a 26-minute movie on Patton, is open 7 days a week from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
